We Start With the Problem, Not the Technology.
You don't need to know what software you need.
You don't need to know what's possible.
And you don't need to come to us with a solution already figured out.
We start by understanding your business, finding something worth improving, and then figuring out the best way to solve it.
Here's what that process looks like.
- 01Step
Talk
First, we understand your business.
We'll talk about how your business works today. We'll learn about your customers, employees, daily routines, and the things that take up your time. Most importantly, we'll talk about what's working well—and what isn't.
Understand the business before trying to change anything.
- 02Step
Identify
We find a problem worth solving.
Once we understand how things work, we'll look for areas that are creating unnecessary work, causing frustration, or creating opportunities for improvement.
We'll consider
- How often the problem happens
- Who has to deal with it
- How much time it takes
- What happens when it doesn't get done
- What the potential benefit of fixing it might be
Focus on something that can make a meaningful difference.
- 03Step
Plan
We figure out what makes sense.
Once we've identified an opportunity, I'll explain what I recommend and why. Nothing gets built or changed until you understand the plan.
You'll understand
- What we're trying to accomplish
- How I think we can accomplish it
- What will change
- What tools or systems may be involved
- What it will cost
Make sure the solution makes sense before we move forward.
- 04Step
Fix
We build the solution around your business.
I'll put the solution together using the tools and systems you already have whenever possible. The goal isn't to give you another complicated system to manage. It's to make something you already do easier, faster, or more effective. Depending on the problem, that might involve improving an existing process, connecting systems, changing how information moves through the business, or introducing technology where it actually makes sense.
Solve the problem without creating a new one.
- 05Step
Improve
We see what happens in the real world.
A solution can look great on paper and still need adjustment once people start using it. We'll pay attention to what's working, what's not, and what your employees and customers are experiencing. Then we'll make adjustments.
Make sure the solution works for the way your business actually operates—not just the way we thought it would.
- 06Step
Measure
We make sure it actually provides value.
We'll look at simple, meaningful results. Not every improvement can be measured with a perfect number. But we should always be able to answer an important question: Did this actually make the business better?
Depending on what we're working on, that might include
- Time saved
- Faster customer responses
- Fewer missed opportunities
- More appointments
- More leads
- More repeat business
- Less administrative work
Make sure you're getting value from the work.
The Technology Is the Tool. The Result Is What Matters.
There are a lot of technologies that can potentially help a business. But none of those things are the goal. They're tools.
The goal is to:
- Save time.
- Reduce busywork.
- Improve the customer experience.
- Capture more opportunities.
- Make your business easier to run.
That's why we don't start by asking:
"What technology should we sell you?"
We start by asking:
"What's something in your business you wish you could make disappear?"
What Happens Next?
You don't need to prepare a technical requirements document.
You don't need to research software.
You don't need to know whether your problem can be automated.
Just bring the problem.
We'll talk about what's happening today, figure out whether there's a better way, and determine whether the potential benefit is worth pursuing.
What's something in your business you wish you could make disappear?
